Matthew Imber has been playing the cello for 25 years. He has performed with orchestras in seven countries and at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He studied the cello and composition at Grinnell College before returning to Kansas City, where he teaches private lessons to students of all ages at his home in the heart of Overland Park, Kansas. Matthew likes to introduce audiences and young musicians to the possibilities of the cello in different genres and styles such as pop, rock, metal, bluegrass, and jazz. He is a proud member of the Olathe Community Orchestra and the musical/educational advisory board for the Ad Astra youth orchestra.
